Trackday - Anglesey Circuit – Trac Môn - 2016

Riding of the edge of the world at Anglesey Circuit – Trac Môn

We spent a great May bank holiday weekend visiting the Anglesey Circuit – Trac Môn. This has to be one of the most picturesque tracks in the UK because of the backdrop. With the circuit right by the water with a view of the sea from many parts of the track, it's no wonder they call it the Phillip Island of Wales.

After a few days of dodgy weather in Cartagena, we were certainly taking a gamble by visiting Wales, but we were pleasantly surprised with warm weather. Well into the 20's, it was perfect track day weather.

Circuit facilities are fairly basic, but there are garages with electricity and a huge parking lot so you can set up your bike, van and gazebo with lots of space. There's even room for camping and a very nice track cafe at one end of the car park.

Excited to be riding in the Welsh sunshine

We had a good time running with friends, but I found the circuit a little stop-start. It's one I'd like to go back to, as we had 13 red flags that day and I would have liked to have had a little more track time. My only worry in going back is that the odds may be against us for such good weather next time.
